Announcements

Breaking News! The Virginia Writers Club, Inc. has announced the next VWC Navigating Your Writing Life Symposium will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012, at The Dickinson Fine and Performing Arts Center on the campus of Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville, Virginia. Mark your calendars. More details forthcoming. 

The Poetry Society of Virginia's Annual Adult Contest will be ongoing November 1, 2011 - January 19, 2012. This year non-members can enter for a $4 fee per poem. Get the details at www.poetrysocietyofvirginia.org.

James River Writers and Richmond Magazine partner on Best Poetry Contest - Poets may submit up to four original poems for the single entry fee of $15. A poet may enter only once. Deadline (postmark): Thursday, December 15, 2011. E-mailed submissions will not be accepted for consideration. Get the details at www.jamesriverwriters.org.
